Q. What do you do with your books after your done reading them?

Well, I haven't got a shelf at the minute, so I just add them to the ever-growing piles that are strategically placed around my room. However, I will probably spend about twenty minutes gathering up my feels towards that book. Whether they're good or bad I need my time! I couldn't ever get rid of a book, not even if I hated it. Maybe I'd give it to charity but I really don't understand how some people can so carelessly throw them away.

Do you do something different to me? I'd love to know!

  1. I've kept most of the books I've read through the years...it amounts to quite a lot. Now I use a Kindle to save space.

    1. I'm in the exact same boat as you! I've got so many now and no where to put them. I bought a Kindle last month yet I still by books in hardcover/paperback format!

Thanks for stopping by, I'll check yours out too :)

  2. Hopping through. If I don't like a book, I'll get rid of it without a second thought. But I usually can't bear (or is 'bare' the right word - I'm having a brain lapse) to get rid of books I like.

    1. I wish I could do that, I find it hard to get rid of a book even if I dislike it! Yeah, I don't think I could get rid of the ones I like.

      Thanks for stopping by :)

  3. Yeah, I shelve mine. If there was a book I really didn't like or loathed I put it in the donate pile that's strictly for the library!

  4. LOL You should read some of the other blogger's answers about throwing/ giving them away. But yes I too can't phantom throwing my books away after I bought them, good or bad. But wow, no bookshelves! I only have one and it's filled, so a lot of my books are now on top of my drawer. Time to build a shelf! :)

    1. I hate to think what some people have written. I'm a bit wary of spending money so if I've bought a book I cannot bare to throw it away! No bookshelves is a problem, there is simply no where in my room for one though :(

      Thanks for stopping by!

  5. I don't think I know anyone who can throw a book away, like in the trash. I have given away MANY but even the books that I hate the most I couldn't bear to throw away. That's beyond my comprehension.

    2. My mum throws them away without a second thought! It's madness but I've drilled it into her head that she should donate them to charity. I think I need to learn how to part with my books and start giving them to the library :)

  10. I used to never think much about books and kept them all even if I didn't care for them. Now I just want to keep ones I really enjoy. That gives me more room for new books! I'd never throw them away though, I'd sell/trade them or donate them! New follower on Bloglovin'!

  12. Make a shelf out of the book towers! ;) Haha! I don't understand how people can throw them away either - if you're going to get rid of them, do it in a way that other people can enjoy them.
